Sarah Messer is the author of two poetry collections, a history/memoir, and a book of translations. She runs One Pause Poetry (onepausepoetry.org) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Rick Barot is the poetry editor of New England Review. His third collection of poems, Chord, will be published by Sarabande in 2015.

Dorothea Lasky Reading — Wednesday, October 14th

Author of Thunderbird, Black Life, and AWE, and editor of Open the Door: How to Excite Young People About Poetry, Missouri-born Dorothea Lasky is an assistant professor of poetry at Columbia University. Her poetry has appeared in Paris Review, Poetry, and the Boston Review. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Nami Mun Reading — Wednesday, October 7th

Wednesday, October 7th in the Franklin Common Room

Nami Mun, author of Miles from Nowhere (2009), will read from her work. Her stories have been published in The New York Times, Granta, Pushcart Prize Anthology, The Iowa Review, and others. Nami graduated from UC Berkeley, received her master’s from University of Michigan, and has garnered fellowships from Yaddo, MacDowell, Bread Loaf, and Tin House.
